3. What we use
3.1 Essential (always active)
Required for the consent manager to remember your choice. Stored as localStorage entries on your device, not as cookies. No personal data is sent to any server.

3.2 Analytics (with consent)
Set only if you opt in via the consent banner. Used to analyse site traffic in aggregate and anonymised form.

4. Managing your preferences
- First visit: a banner lets you accept all categories or reject non-essential.
- "Manage cookies" in the footer: re-opens the preferences modal at any time, where you can flip each category individually.
- Browser settings: all browsers let you delete cookies and localStorage entries manually. Removing the essential entries will simply re-prompt you on next visit.
